It's Begun...

So, the sleepless, restless nights wondering and thinking have begun for me (Brenda). I have a great book that I'm reading about international adoptions that was given to us by Grandma Pat, called "The Complete Book of International Adoption" by Dawn Davenport. (If you know someone who is adopting internationally please get this book info to them.) But since reading through this book it makes me think about the millions of details that we will be covering through this process. (Which will all be worth it!) Of course I started reading at the END first... the part about when we get to bring our son home and it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. I had a dream, after reading this chapter, that we brought our son home and I wasn't use to having a son yet and when I woke up I couldn't find him. He wasn't in his room, he wasn't outside, he wasn't watching TV... so I frantically ran around the house and eventually I found him sitting in a closet because he didn't know where he was. I pray that this never happens and that our son will always know, when he walks through our doors, that he is HOME!!!

Oh I have a feeling this is going to be a very irregular year of sleep... I guess it will be good preparation.

Ready or Not Here We Go...

We are very excited to announce that we have officially started the adoption of our son! We are looking to adopt him from the Ukraine. And yes, we are ready and very excited!!!

On Friday, 20 April 2007 we made the final decision to officially start our adoption and have submitted our application. We are going through Homecoming Adoptions in Orlando, Florida. You can view their information or information on the Ukriane at www.homecomingadoptions.com. We will keep you updated on all of the steps along the way on this blog.

Please pray along with us and for us as well as for our son through this process of becoming a family.
