I know it's been a while since our last post but not much happened while we were away in the States for 5 weeks. We had a great time going around to various people in various states as well as spending a week of vacation in North Carolina in the beautiful mountains. We spent time there with Mark's brother, Forest and our good friends, John & Mary Concar from Ireland came over to spend the week with us exploring the mountains and going to a couple of Bluegrass Concerts. (This was a stretch for me, Brenda). We are back home in Ireland now and getting ready to receive our next interns that arrive on Sept 12 and we're very excited!
As for what is happening now in regards to the adoption we are getting closer to finding the right people in Ireland that we need to conduct our Home Study. This has been more of a challenge to find someone than any of us thought. Please Pray that we have now made the right contacts and that they are able to schedule the Home Study very very soon.
The last several people that we (the Rays and our agency rep, Jacqui) have spoken with have all said no they won't be able to do our Home Study or that they were the wrong people to contact or that we would have to also go through the Irish Adoption System which is currently around a 4 year waiting time. The frustrating part is that no one really knows who we are to go to since we are...
So please pray along with us that this bump in the road will be smoothed out and completed soon. We don't want our son to have to stay in the Baby Home (orphanage for babies) one day longer than he has to.
Thanks for all of your love, support and comments!
